Usually you need to use one jackstand per wheel you take off. If you took off four wheels then you would need four jackstands.

However, substituting more jackstands per wheel removed is safer provided you know where to place them.

sulit lang to pag may talyer ka o kaya DIY guy ka na mahilig magbuting-ting ng auto mo...pero kung bibilhin mo to "just in case" lang. hindi mo rin siya halos magagamit.

Kaya naman po ng 2 tonner, not unless your Pajero weighs more than Isuzu Elf trucks. :D

Nandun pa naman ang ibang gulong/jackstands to share the load.

Unless you managed to balance a tire-less Pajero on a single jackstand.

    :D

You are pertaining to hydraulic jacks, there are bottle types and crocodile models. Oil is pumped in to raise the vehicle. The other and more common to later model vehicles are mechanical jacks which needs a lot of effort to twist and raise.

Jack stands are in different manner, it is primarily used to hold the height lifted by mechanical or hydraulic jacks.

jack stand is much safer kung nakataas ang kotse for a long period of time, like changing oil, baha, etc.
