mileage is the term used for the total distance traveled by the car.

miles or kilometers are the units of measure of the distance.

if by the book, yes, it refers to miles

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/mileage
    mile·age also mil·age (mlj)
    n.
    1. Total length, extent, or distance measured or expressed in miles.
    2. Total miles covered or traveled in a given time.
    3. The amount of service, use, or wear estimated by miles used or traveled: This tire will give very good mileage.
    4. The number of miles traveled by a motor vehicle on a given quantity of fuel.
    5.
    a. An allowance for travel expenses established at a specified rate per mile.
    b. Expense per mile, as for the use of a car.
but "mileage" is used loosely here

it's understood naman by everyone here when we use the word "mileage", it refers to the odometer reading which happens to be in km.

if you wanna be technical correct, use "kilometerage" nalang hehe

parang dun sa isang thread, pinagtatalunan kung ano ang "Japan surplus"

everyone knows it means Japan used

pero technically surplus doesnt mean used

^ hmm naisip ko lang kasi..yung owner type jeep namin nung early 70's yung odometer is mile ang unit...so siguro at that time "mile" ang gamit natin..correct me if im wrong...

    parang may tanong pa nga

Ilang milyahe na tinakbo ng sasakyan mo?..ganun kasi naririning ko sa mga matatanda
    nag coconvert pa tuloy ako..lol

    naging US colony kasi tayo

diba pag tinanong tayo kung ano height and weight natin, hanggang ngayon we usually answer in feet&inches, pounds?

but some of us already use cm., kg.

Mileage = Miles
