Meron local company that gives GPS tracking (live or post-mission) of any car or truck within an accuracy of ten meters. Their system has a computer interface that tells you where your car/truck is located on a map.

Sells for P70,000 for the "live tracking" mobile unit, P30,000 for the "post mission" tracking mobile unit and P30,000 for the base unit and software.

Globe offers GPS-GSM tracking services on a limited basis. Fee will include rental (or if you want to purchase your own) of GPS unit, mobile phone subscription, and others..

Globe's GPS service is hybrid. It uses Satellite pinpointing and sometimes cellsite wayfinding.

GPS via globe isn't accurate... it basically tells you where is the closest celsite the tracked celfone is at that moment. It doesn't tell you where it actually is located nor the direction it is traveling.

Not to mention, paying P2 for every GPS inquiry.

I am suprise why no one is offering this here. This is such a good business oppurtunity for insurance companies. A car can be programed to shut down when it leave a certain radius so no one can take an illegal joyride. The company mentioned in the CNN report

not only can track cars but people as well. imagine being tracked by your spouse. hehe

actually there is a PHILIPPINE MADE product that does GPS tracking accurate to 10 meters.

Hmm....there is a company called Star Communication who sells GPS tracking system for delivery trucks or any vehicle which you want to monitor.

For example, you want to monitor what your delivery truck is doing right now, and where is it na...You can monitor it.
Becoz, there's a GPS equipment attached to it, where you get the disc sa Tracking System nya...log it to your computer, and you will see kung nambubulakbol ang truck driver mo.

Many have used it na, and okay daw, mas maraming delivery ang natatapos, at Huli kung nagbubulakbol ang driver.
