    tanong lang anu ba mas correct na driving style para sa mga matic

    1. (when accelerating) you just press it steadily, as in single position lang pero mas mas lubog yung tapak. then bahala na siya magshift-up nang sarili nya

    2. or yung parang pitik-pitik lang na tapak, yung parang binobomba mo yung gas pedal para mapwersa sya magshift-up

    alin din ba mas ayos sa fuel efficiency

    Pag binomba mo ang gas pedal,- malamang mag-down shift pa iyan....

    Gradually push the pedal to gain speed. To accelerate fast, quickly press pedal hard twice to downshift.

    A general rule on driving A/T, keep a light foot.

    1. Gradually press down on the accelerator
    2. When you feel the gear shift release and repeat from 1.

    You can also just depress the accelerator but you'll have a lot of shift jolts and worst fuel consumption.

    gradual pressing for lower RPM upshift then maintain your desired RPM.

    If your throttle is drive-by-wire (DBW), just gradually press on the accelerator pedal and keep it there. There's no need to release it everytime the A/T shifts. The DBW system will adjust the throttle position on every shift point to assure a smooth ride.

    Jack-rabbit starts will kill you FE and probably overheat your ATF.

    hindi matic oto ko, pero may namaneho na kasi ako mga matic like Delica at Fortuner. I assume di sila drive-by-wire, so hindi dapat steady lang ang apak

    hindi naman yung bomba na malalim ang apak mag-down shift talaga pag ganun. ibig ko sabihin yung parang sinabi ni Walter na light press then pitik-pitik lang pero not totally bitawan yung gas. parang jinajab mo lang yung pedal para magkamomentum then sa kada angat mo ng konti ng pedal mas may chance na siya mag upshift (basta ganun hirap nga explain thru words)

    edi ang tagal mo mag-upshift nito. sinubukan ko rin kasi na steady lang tapak pero parang mas malakas sa gas kasi parang ang tagal mo sa 1st gear or sa 2nd gear. di ba ang objective natin sa matic e maka-upshift siya as quick as possible para makatipid sa gas. parang ang hirap kasi yung mabilis na upshift kung naka steady lang sa gas pedal

    follow-up question pano pala style para magdownshift sya smoothly, yung minimal shock na maramdaman

    oo depress lang ginagawa ko. pero kung kelangan ko ng power, sige apak! pero most of the time, maintain 2000rpm max

    To make an automatic transmission downshift, floor the pedal or depress quickly. Most modern automatics "learns" your driving style so it will instinctively downshift or upshift.

    +1 ako dyan sir walter. Most of the time, i'll just use "d" for drive but if the need arises sarap gamitin sportronic mode parang manual tranny pa rin. By the way first vehicle ko ito na matic...ang nagustuhan ko dito sa matic relax ang driving lalo na pagtrafic.

    city driving lang ako most of the time. steady sa 1300rpm till magchange from 1,2,3. if long drive pinapaabot ko ng 2000rpm after 3rd gear kci doon pa lang cya lilipat then maintain ko na para tipid.
