anybody wanna suggest a car with the budget constraint of 550k-600?

eto nasa isip ko city, vios, optra (actually mahal na sya), aveo, jimny..

    any others?

anyone selling a good car (must be less than one year), price range within my budget (scroll up)

    sure to buy in March/April..

Very generous na yang budget mo. Kung bnew, I'd consider the City A/T CVT. Pero sobrang compact ang engine compartment, any accident involving the front, may be very very damaging (physically and financially).

You can get a very good 2nd hand Altis with that budget.

Pero if you want a hobby car, get good condition BMW E30 body, and dress it up! Baka P450k lang yun, including the body restoration/repaint. And I just recently found out, maintenance of these older E30 models aren't costly at all! Just like maintaining your usual jap cars. It's the initial search for an expert mechanic which is a hassle, but once you've found that, and a good parts source, ayos na.

Get an older Benz or BMW. Our W124 is for sale at Php490K. Pero I don't think we're gonna sell it anymore.

It's reliable and still looks like a million pesos. Park it next to a brand new City or Vios and it will still look more expensive.

you can get a late-model (mga 2002) Altis G or Civic VTi-S or 2003 Lynx or something equivalent with that budget i think... you can't go wrong with any of these, although ang parts ng Honda ay mahal hehe

a compelling alternative is to get a classic W124 (kinda like the E-class of the 80s), or W126 Benz (ito yung S-Class nung 1979-1991). they don't look outdated and the interiors of these would shame any modern japanese compact's hehe; in fact, you'll look like a mafia boss with the W126 hehe. mura pa yung parts and service ng mga ito, and in the case of the W126, pwede pang diesel

Tired of fake wood paneling on the dashboard? Get a W126 with real wood! Hehehehe. Aluminum hood and trunklid pa. Way ahead of its time talaga.

sir OTEP para kang salesman hehe

pero si sir jerico ata eh mukhang iloloan sa company kaya dapat less than a year ang habol.

maganda nga siguro yung mga altis and civics kahit base model lang... kesa sa vios or city.

Meron kaming 1981-model nung W126. Yung 300SD na variant. We have had our share of Japanese cars (Galant, Corolla, etc.). They have all come and gone. Yung W126 nandito pa din.

i'd second the 2nd hand German car. Prestige was advertising a certified preowned BMW 316i for 500k+ last week.. *drool*

    then again mahal ang maintenance.

pero i still don't understand why so many people are drooling over the Daewoo Nubira.. err.. Chevy Optra at 650k. for that price you can get a BMW! (well, not a new BMW...)

but then again if the car must be 1 year old or less.. a Lynx might be ok! it has pretty good trim level and isn't too expensive. the parts are cheaper than Honda, too.

kung 2nd hand, altis E or J for me...there are also 2001-2002 Civic LXis around that price range...ask around, alam ko honda also has certified pre-owned units

check the prices...ang alam ko the top variant of the City/Vios is almost equal in price to the lowest Civic/Altis variant
