i drive a Mid-Size SUV most of the time. last month (mid-december), I acquired my 2nd car: a Hyundai Getz.

the 2nd half of the Christmas rush period was an eye-opener for me. I have never realized that Metro Manila have gotten too congested already. before my occasional trips to convenience stores and nearby malls can take me between 30 mins to an hour. and that's excluding the "parking space hunt" that we pinoy drivers are cursed for life. now it seems that everyplace in the metro seems easier to go to. no worries of hanging jeepneys, lined up tricycles, and swerving buses. i can fit this car to almost every available open 2-meter wide space in rush hour traffic. parking is not as selective process as before. and the best thing that surprised me, I think I only spent roughly 2k in fuel expenses during the entire Holiday season. in terms of stress level, well I seem to be more cheerful everytime I go to the office in the mornings after this New year.

now i'm thinking of buying another A/T mini-car for my wife, perhaps a Toyota Yaris. and we'll just use these cars alternatively for daily use. The SUV will just be for provincial/social functions na lang siguro.

Yeah... it's getting to the point that you don't really want to drive at all, sometimes.

As for your second mini? How about a Suzuki Alto? It's even smaller than the Getz or the Yaris... but the Yaris has the best seating space of the current super-mini set.

In the long run, mas sasakit ang ulo mo kasi dalawa ang kailangan mong ayusin. Quality over quantity ika nga.

2 Mini Cars might be better than 1 Mid-size SUV
