1.8 din yun bro db? ang mahal p rin ng shocks i inquired sa banawe and it still cost 3000/pc. pag nacra n yung digital guage wala na kc wala ng nabibili ngaun ata nun kmusta nmn fuel consumption mo sa telstar?

yeah they're one of the first front wheel drives of the early 80's.

a.k.a. mazda 626. reminds me of the face of the opel manta 2.0

hehehe... favorite car ko of the 80s... isa sa mga service ng dad ko noon sa office nya... isang gold na 5D hatch at isang blue na sedan... the hatch even has swivel air louvers and digital tach!!!

Can't remember when was the last time I still saw a Telstar on the road. Definitely a head turner now for me if I see a restored one on the road.

one of the best looking cars here before. Nakaktuwa nga yung speedo nyan. My friend has one before pero he sold it. Ang sabi pa niya, SKD (semi-knock down). Sa may Mantrade daw yung dealership before.

1.8 carb. engine yung sa amin, yung shocks and suspension pinagawa ko recently sa cruven, ok naman yung gawa nila. Lately may problems lang kami sa brakes, sa vacuum lines yata may problema. As for fuel consumption I havent computed it since never namin nilalagyan ng full tank of gas.

Until last year I had a brochure of the Telstar, it was partialy destroyed during a flood... I can't find it now, but if I knew I would have taken pictures of it.
If I remember correctly, the Telstar Ghia here was powered by a 1.8 liter engine.

Bro how much yung shocks nabili mo? Meron ako nakuha bnew shocks pero ang mahal p rin kala ko mura n kc '83 car pa to nwala b yung tagtag nung nagpalit k ng shocks?

So far nde p nmn nahuhuli yung look and performance nya. It is equipped with a 1.8L engine yung nga lng carburetor type pa kya nde cya ganun klakas humatak if u are used to todays cars pero pag nakabwelo okei namn. So far my fastest is 170kph sa NLEX mga 3mos ago.

i remember this car. my aunt used to have one. astig yung digital speedo. si KITT pa lang at eto ang nakitaan ko ng ganun at that time.

it's a GC model mazda 626. in the same way that the laser was a mazda 323.

i expect marami pang parts yan sa banawe. autorama has this huge poster of the "amazing ford telstar" engine with the chain drive and all. i believe the engine is an F2? same lineage as the RF we all know and love from the kia besta, except gasoline.

i agree, its an eye candy. may nakita akong dilapidated na 5 door hatch nito, ayus, digital speedo na nga. i remember two of my uncles used to own one. but that was years ago. di ko lang alam kung nasa kanila pa..

ganun ka sagwa ang pilipinas nun? that's $15000 in 1984 dollars! (or so) so mga $30k na yun ngayon. anong klaseng 626 yan? ginto?

kung pesos naman, 250K in 1984 is about 1.5M to 2M ngayon. well, i guess ka-presyo siya ng mazda6 (mas mahal pa nga).
