Ford Escape Problems (A/T tranny)

Hi guys,

I am really newbie here and really looking for some help.
I bought a second hand automatic Ford Escape 2003 xlt a month ago and I must say that it is really a good buy... but... Yesterday when my wife is driving it, she called me and told me that the car has a big problem;

- ayaw humatak
- tried to switch the 4x4 pero namamatay pag tinatapakan ang gas
- tumutunog yung transmission pag tinatapakan yung gas - parang nag slipped
- as in sobrang hina ng hatak forward and backward

kakapalit lang po ng ATF nito 2 weeks ago for the same reason, mahina humatak, hindi makaahon (sukat exit) at kapag pa atras hirapan din..

ano po yung the best na gawin? I know na syempre pa check but of course I need all your inputs para naman po meron akong idea. sana hindi malala yung problema nito..

pasensya na po sa new thread, i was unable to find specific thread related to Escape's common problems.

I'm no expert, but maybe there's a leak in the tranny? I mean, fluid, so it could be leaking out of somewhere, since you mentioned you just changed it.

maybe you used the wrong ATF?

*hajabah - fluid leak? I have checked it under and no signs of fluid leak...

*mda_ -wrong ATF? i hope so but its hard to imagine coz before changing the ATF, the car has already the same problem

I tested the car this morning and seems ok naman pero kapag umiinit na yung makina parang feel ko na humihina yung hatak at lumalabas yung na mention ko na problem ... hayyyy..

IMHO, Baka type of fluid ang problema mo dito bro.... Kasi sabi mo pag uminit humihina ang hatak.... Ang oil kasi pag uminit ito ay numinipis kaya nagkakaroon ng loose compression sa engine....
