    the interior still looks meh... but it's still a test unit.

    Technically the 2012 Ranger (code name T6) is a global model, but based on recent reports Ford might not launch this new Ranger in the US and Canada, instead they are considering a more fuel efficient versions of the larger F-series pickup.

    PS: Notice the recent set of Ranger spy photos I posted all show a RHD model. North America is LHD.

    2.2 liter engine? pero di nalalayo sa output ng current gen? paliitan na ata ngayon.


    edit: oops! meron pala 3.2L with 200PS and 470Nm torque (mamaw!!) and 2.5 L (166PS)

    Went to Ford Balintawak,

    They said, it will take years befores FORD introduces new model
    for the ranger and everest. kaka Facelift lang kasi.

    Well these dealer guys just rely on info on what FGP tells them Obviously at the moment FGP has not yet announced any plans or release dates for the new Ranger...

    The new Ranger T6 WILL NOT BE SOLD in the US market...

    You'd be forgiven for mistaking the present U.S. market Ford Ranger for one from the Ronald Reagan era -- which is exactly why the new global version has truck fans crying foul over Ford's decision not to bring the all-new Ranger here.
    In a segment accustomed to lengthy product cycles, any major introduction is cause for huzzahs and scrutiny. The 2012 Ranger, designated T6, has sheetmetal completely unlike its predecessor. The smoothed-out, modern exterior styling would undoubtedly be alien in our market, where sharp and boxy designs dominate before they even reach the drawing boards. Ford's contemporary three-bar grille and front fender decoration give the Ranger a distinct presence. It has grown to about 90 percent of the F-150's size, effectively throwing this truck into the midsize classification. In fact, the new Ranger's size is essentially the main reason why Ford has decided not to bring it here.

    Just before she left for the global launch of the Ranger, Ford Group Philippines assistant vice president for communications Anika Salceda confirmed the new pickup truck will reach the local market at around the time it goes on sale globally by 2012.
