We wish. The Ford Fusion is based on the Mazda6 platform, so it shares some of the same sharp handling characteristics and chassis stiffness. The Fusion, however, is bigger in every dimension, providing more elbow and leg room, without sacrificing performance or fuel economy. Car and Driver has tested the V6 Fusion at 7.2 (?) seconds to 60 mph (likely 7.5 to 100 kph) with an automatic, so it's suitably sporting.

As for possibility of production, this car would likely do well in the Chinese market and in the ASEAN, given that it suits the conservative market segment which usually patronises the Cefiro and Camry. And since it shares a lot of mechanicals with the Mazda6/Tribute/Escape family, tooling up for production should be relatively easy for Ford.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
