Asking price is around 1.1 Php

OR

2000 model Explorer Sport Trac
It comes with all the features ng 2003 model *PLUS* moonroof, cruise control, 4x4, power adjusting seats, and driver-side keypad entry.
Odo reading is 21T kms.
Asking price is around 950T Php


(I probably won't go off-roading so the 4x4 shouldn't be a deciding factor)

you may not go off roading but you may never know when you need 4wd. my choice is the 4wd one, you may need it when you go to the beach, of to places that you might encounter slippery roads or inclines, or land slides. plus its there na you wont spend for it.

A little off topic ito, pero oh well: I've always been wondering kung bakit kaya yung older ST mas-madami pang features kesa sa newer ST?

Even if you dont plan to go off-road, sometimes just by using the shoulder, you can get stuck, so i would choose the 2000 model for added security.

the 2000 model. just make sure to check the ST's condition. the 2003 model's ok, but it's a bit bare. the accessories on the 2000 model (together with its relatively low mileage) make it the better ST. the 4x4 capability is a nice-to-have that just might save your *$$ if and when the opportunity presents itself.

as to the newer ones lacking the amenities of the older ones, it is the unit’s cost and selling price that prohibits accessorizing the new ones up to the standards of the older ones. Which is why, if the older one is in tip top condition, it would be well worth it.
