Depends on where and when you drive it.

For the AT, expect 6-8 km/l in traffic. Probably 10-12 km/l on the highway and 14 on the NLEX. The MT should get much better FC in traffic. In our test at bigbigcar, I think we got 7-10 (city/highway).

You might want to ask at http://forum.fordclubph.com as there are many 1.8 owners there who can chime in.

FC for the TDCI Powershift depends on when and where. Absolute worst case scenario will be in the 7.5-8.5 km/l range... though most other times you'll be getting 9-11... and around 13-16 km/l in pure highway driving... up to 20 km/l on the NLEX.

    for our 1.8 a/t....

we get 11-12 km/l according to our fleet card computations. that's mixed city and highway.... with plenty of daily short trips (less than 2km) during the weekdays.... and "long" trips (80-100 km) on weekends.

While I like the Getz, the guy did say "pang-doctor" and not "pang-medrep". (though a friend who's a doctor does drive one).

And the Getz CRDi doesn't come with an automatic.

Overall, the Focus is a much better vehicle, as long as you're willing to shoulder the up-front costs and extra cost-of-ownership.

But if fuel economy and ease of use are a consideration, a Honda Jazz will give you a very spacious car with decent economy, a large interior and a class-leading 5-speed automatic transmission.

    And it looks damn good.
