My ecosport titanium consumes an average of over 10l per 100km. I am wondering if it is considered as high fuel consumption for a car my type and size? Some say it should consume at around 7-8l only. I drive at average speed and in normal traffic condition. Anyone having the same problem with ecosport? thanks!

Normal traffic meaning Metro Manila? 100% city driving? If yes to both then its not great but its not too bad rin.

I have never heard similar complaints from ecosport owners It's said to have decent fuel consumption by car reviewers.

I agree. We had an ecosport for 6 months and fuel consumption was decent.

10li per 100kms. Or 10km per liter.. is already on the efficient side...

    Nearly 6,000 km po.

I remember reading somewhere saying that it should consume around 7-8l only. So I am not sure if 10l per 100km is relatively high. The review for ecosport on Philkotse also states that fuel consumption for this model is decent but doesn't mention its average amount of consumption.

10kms per liter is already ok...

depende yan sa traffic na dinadaanan nyo.. try doing 5kms for 1 hour..

Be happy with 10km/L on the usual city driving routes. Some subcompacts (City, Jazz, Fiesta, Vios) are doing even worse (8-9 km/L). The big factors to consider are your usual daily route and driving habits. If you live in an area where the traffic is just crawling (10 kmh or below), expect high fuel consumption.

    It's not just the weight.

It's mostly the fact that the EcoSport is the shape of a brick. A short brick. Very difficult to make a short and tall vehicle aerodynamic.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

So it's rather new. I think you can be happy with its current fuel consumption

Mine is Trend MT, 8.5 km/l Gensan city driving, di gaano matraffic like in Manila, Highway ko naman provincial road is 13 km/l, 80-100 kph na takbo (i'm using Acar app for monitoring FC). Same FC lang w/ my bro's 2009 Honda city 1.5 AT. I think tamang tama lang FE niya sa size ng makina niya. Odo * 4450 kms.

6T kms is still new. Engine parts and clearances are still tight. I was told once sa casa to wait to up to 10T kms before we actually see good mileage. At 10km/L Manila traffic thats a good number for a young engine.
