Ford's new Explorer Sport Trac arrives in the 2007 model year pretty much as the concept did at this year's Detroitauto show. The Sport Trac, now based on the four-door Explorer platform, has an independent suspension and a body shell 444 percent stiffer than the outgoing vehicle. Ford says it shares 65 percent of its parts with the four-door Explorer, but has a wheelbase stretched 16.7 inches and a composite bed. The powertrains include a 4.0-liter V-6 with 210 hp and a five-speed automatic, or a 4.6-liter, 292-hp V-8 with a six-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is optional, while front airbags, stability and roll control and anti-lock brakes are standard (side curtain airbags are optional).

Exactly my thoughts. Anyways, hindi pinapansin ng mga kano iyan because they love big/huge trucks like the F250, F350 etc... The F150 is still considered a baby truck there in the U.S. hehehe

The 2007 redesign has minor changes over the previous model, in fact, I find it indistinguishable. I wonder if they radically changed engine design and/or performance?

I stand corrected. We hardly see that truck on the road, kaya akala ko discontinued na.

Question, binebenta pa rin ba yung L300 dyan? I just saw Oldblue's sig and na alala ko lang. That design came out in 1987 in the Phils IIRC. Bilib na ko sa Mitsu pag available pa rin yan hanggang ngayon.

Mautak talaga ang Mitsu Phils. Hanggat may bumibili, di aalisin sa market. That L300 is already 18 years old (at least) and still selling.

They were about Php280 to 330K yata nung high school ako. That was 15 years ago. And no, I wouldn't buy an 18 year old van for Php 700K. No offense to L300 owners (just my personal view) - but come to think of it. Car manufacturer's redesign every 4 to 5 years, and almost every year, they improve something (engine, front end design, interior, tail light design, etc). But the L300 - parehong pareho (i think) since it came out in 1987. Daym, I was 11, 12 years in 1987. Imagine yung unang 16valve na corolla - came out in 1999. What if ganon pa rin ang binebentang Toyota Corolla ngayong 2005 na, tapos more than 2x pa ang tinaas ng presyo? LOL

Yung 4.6L V8 (292 hp) lang ata ang bago. Before, yung 5.4L V8 ang kailangan to have the same hp output.

All new Explorer Sport Trac
