    Hi mga dudes!

Can you recommend to me nice Vegetarian Restaurants to eat around Metro Manila? I mean veggy restos that offer specialty menus, not your usual sinigang na kangkong or pinakbet or common vegi foods like that.

I just want to start my family into healthy eating. Tuwing pupunta ka sa mall, all you see are the usual KFC, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Greenwich, Chowking, Kenny Rogers... nakakasawa na. Not to mention they are all junk food. Bad for the kids whose first solid food is a Jollibee French Fries.

Kayo, do you always bring your kids sa fastfood? I advise na bawasan niyo na. It's very unhealthy. Imagine all that cholesterol you're jamming into your kid.

If you know a nice place to eat with healthy menu, I'll check it out. And thanks in advance.

sa Greens masarap. If you have carnivores with you, it won't disappoint kahit na totally meatless yung resto.

It's in one of the side streets in the Tomas Morato area. Same street where Taste of LA is.

greens is not in that location anymore. the structure it was located in was torn down.
i am not sure where it moved to... sayang...

the vegetables menu of the various chinese restaurants are the most consistent ones available.

I agree with Al M.; masarap nga sa Greens. Nasa Scout Tuason ata yun. Nasa Soutrh Triangle ang Sct. Tuason ata. Eto yung number: 415-4796.

Kung sa Mega, try nyo yung Bodhi.

My and my wife rarely bring our kid sa fastfood restos like Jollibee, McDo, KFC, et al. Hindi ko sya sinanay sa fastfood.

IMO, Kenny Rogers is not junk food. Pero, we also seldom eat there.

Here are some other restos you might wanna check out:

    1. Pho Hoa
    2. Hue
    3. Blue Onion
    4. Mother Sachi (another good veggie resto)
    5. Rasa Singapura
    6. Dapo
    7. Kam Thai
    8. Saigon Best (sa Diliman)
    9. Little Asia
    10. Persiana Kebab (or is it Kabab) - sa U.P. ito.
    11. Blue Bacon and Green Eggs (medyo mahal dito)
    12. Fusion (sa Gale)
    13. Plaid (ang sarap ng sandwiches nila. Better than Oliver's IMO, mas mura pa)
    14. Prince of Jaipur (Indian cuisine)

    Obviously, mahilig akong kumain.

tnx al_motor! sa scout castor na pala cya. i like greens more than bodhi whose menu i find a bit too dependent on vegemeat.

glennster: tapat ng max was the former location.

Thanks to all your recommendations.

Nope, my family doesn't have any weight problems. We are all lean. It's just that i finally decided to cut down on meat and junk food. I even have a 6-yr-old nephew who eats nothing but hamburgers! And his mother doesn't seem to mind! She nurtured him on fastfood!

Have you all seen the movie, "SUPER SIZE ME"? Watch that movie and I bet you will never take your child to McDonalds ever again.

    Also, check this out:
    http://www.meat.org/McDonald's.htm

I'm not a vegetarian activist, it's just that if the facts are speaking for themselves, why continue doing the bad thing, right?

Slim, punta ka sa http://clickthecity.com/, under restos. Baka makita mo yung address dun.

Dun sa Morato....hindi ko lam eh. So far naman, kapag nagpu-punta kaming family dun, dehins kami nadadale (thank God).

Tsk. Masama fastfood sa kids. Lalo na for people over 40!

Yap, I saw SuperSize Me! I even have the DVD. I asked a friend of mine to buy one for me sa Thailand some months back. Well, kahit naman siguro sa 'Bee Happy' eh ganun ang mangyayari if you eat Chicken Joy or Champ everyday for 30 days.

No mayo karamihan kaya healthy. Wheat or focacia bread ang gamit. Very reasonable prices. At, lufeeet ng deserts.

no offense and i mayself had eaten several times at bodhi, but i find the food overwhelming with MSG, that why there is such thing as a chinese food syndrome, so when you dine at a chinese resto request that food serve should not contain a trace of MSG
