I heard this in UH kanina with Atty Gabby Concepcion discussing the advantages and benefits it can give to us. I’m so favor and hopeful that this be implemented as soon as possible.

I'm not in favor.

I'm sorry but I didn't catch it well and didn't get to hear from UH. Are they saying selling pandesal and eggs by the kilo and not per piece, or nakapalaman na yung itlog sa pandesal?

nic: per kilo ang pricing but anyone can stil buy 1/2 a kilo or even 1/4. for example a kilo of pandesal is about 30 pcs. and a kilo of egg consists of about 20-24 pcs depending on size.

a retailer like sari-sari store still can sold it per piece. the main purpose is for the DTI to easily monitor the pricing like those of rice, sugar and other prime commodities.

But then would they still implement strict size segregation of the eggs?

I get your point bro while I generally agree with the drive of DTI for a more effective price monitoring plan, ang dating pa rin nito sa mahihirap eh anti-poor.

Parang bigas pwede sako-sako, pwedeng kilo-kilo. Muli nasa atin kung gusto nating makamura (per kilo) or tinge.

I believe mas magiging parehas ito.

Ang pagkakaintindi ko, yung per kilo na bentahan ng itlog is from the supplier to the retailer. The retailer will still sell the eggs per piece.

xtO: nothing fancy with Pan de Manila, nung una okay sa kanila, wheat bread binibili ko doon, pero after a year, lagi nang walang wheat bread, ordinary lang eh ayoko nung lasa.

    nico:
I've seen so many people given opportunity, only to waste it on some useless day.

I've also seen those who spent theirs wisely. Middle class na sila ngayon.

for me, ok lang siguro ang per kilo na itlog. I love eggs, esp yung maraming kamatis.

Pandesal per kilo is fine by me too. minsan kasi feeling ko nadadaya ako dahil walang laman yung pandesal. I like eating pandesal because somehow it reminds me of the wonderful days of my childhood which i miss so much. Back then kasi i was in a hurry to grow up :D

kasi corn, coconut (maybe coconut oil but these aren't fried, just for kneading maybe), jathropa)?

Chicken lay eggs. Chicken eat corn. Corn price up. Coz of demand from biofuel producers.

Farmers shifting from wheat to corn. Wheat price up.

We are affected coz we have to follow world commodity prices decided by commodities traders halfway around the world.

Good point, some people just dont see the relationship just as you would.

Anyway, agree ako sa por kilo (with the drawback mentioned above).

Pandesal and itlog to be sold per kilo. Matutuloy na ba?
