Why did Pringles change their logo?
Pringles has changed its logo to keep up with the times. Since minimalism is in fashion now, in 2020, the little man ‘cut his hair’ and lost the clear boundaries of his head (it became white and is best seen against a colored background). And in 2021, the designers went even further and combined the red bow tie with the brand name. Hired studio Jones Knowles Ritchie simplified and modernized the emblem’s design, presenting the face of the already familiar Julius Pringles in the emoji style.
Why is the Pringles man bald now?
Julius Pringles went bald in 2020 because Pringles wanted it so. Perhaps they thought that eyebrows would look better than two strands of hair. Or the designers wanted to emphasize the oval shape of the head in such a way and the hairstyle interfered with them. In any case, the people at Jones Knowles Ritchie got their way: they simplified the man’s look in the logo and made it look like a smiley face. Now the head of Mr. P. can express different emotions.
