For drive-in motels in the metro, if you have the budget, you can try Victoria Court. Branches around Metro Manila, including Pasay City.

Regular rooms are big and spacious with the usual nice toilet & bath, tv and big bed.

Deluxe rooms get a parking garage, with more room space.

There are also theme rooms which can be great for "romantic getaways".

Food is also good & reasonably priced so if you get hungry at any time of day or night, just give them a call.

You can check out their locations and rates at their website.

If you are driving to Victoria Court, just open a crack of your window and tell the guys waiting what kind of room you want (suite/theme/etc). They will guide you to the parking garage. When you park, just wait for their confirmation that the room is ready before you get out with your gf.

When you are ready to leave, just call the front desk and say you are checking out. They will send the bill to your room in a few minutes. Pay either in cash or card. Once paid, you can enter your car. When you start the engine, the attendant will open the garage door for you.

BTW, I suggest you visit the branch of VC you plan to go to and check out the room for yourself first if its to your preference and budget before the big day.

The procedure is typical naman with most drive-in motels in the metro.

    -------------------

BTW, payday-weekends can be busy days for motels. It's possible to reserve a room at VC via online reservations with a 10% down on the room rate. This will assure you have a room when you arrive there.

Ortigas Center has a number of three star hotels which might be within your budget. Example, Richmond Hotel along San Miguel Ave have really nice rooms and nice view of the area. The location is a short walk from Shangrila Mall & hotel. In the immediate area are some coffee shops and small restaurants. If you have a car, you can park it in the basement and since you are getting a room, parking is free.

A hotel might be a less "sleezy" option for you and your girl.

Advantage of motel, cost and time.

In a motel, you can check-out in 3 or 6 or 12 hours and only pay for the hours you used.

IN a hotel, check out time is usually 12noon and they will charge you for the day even if you only stayed for a few hours in the room.

^ Motorist hotel nga kasi orig name ng hotel. So designed for short stop-over sleeping ng mga american truckers/travellers. So you pay for certain hours. This was explained to me by an auditor from the company that owns Victoria hotels.

Tayong pinoy lang nagbigay ng ibang kahulugan sa motel ata eh. hehe

Hahaha. Tama ka rito. I tried checking in of all dates, valentines day, just for the fun of it. Grabe ang pila sa loob. Pati nakamotor, nakapila sila! Kawawa nga chick eh, having to wait at the back of the motorcycle.

BTT: Motels are cool. 2-3 hours of fun and very affordable. Kung gusto mo lang special, then mag hotel ka na lang.

Pero ito ang tip, if you plan to do this 2 to 3 times a month, a motel is good for you. Pero kung ang partner mo pang marathon, meaning daily grind ka, better rent a serviced condo unit. Dami sa Makati ng ganoon. Para at least kung ganado maski lunchtime, then you got the place always available. Mga room rates ranges from 1500 to 2500.

Another alternative is rent an apartment.
