DAMN I hate those big boats!! For those of you who doesn't know what an SUV is.. it stands for Sports Utility Vehicles but most of the time they're not being used for sports.. mostly for 'showoff' effect kind of thing. Examples of an SUVs are PAJERO, LandRover, LandCruiser, Ford Expedition, Explorers, CR-Vs, and many, many more.

For years, car enthusiasts clamored for independent suspensions, four-wheel disc brakes, good gas mileage, good handling, and lower weight in our sports cars and family sedans. Just when sports cars and family sedans were getting good, the SUV craze started. Dodge Vipers and Nissan 300ZXs are being replaced by porky, top-heavy Explorers and Pathfinders. People laughed at their parents for driving behemoth gas guzzlers in the 50s, 60s and 70s, yet todays SUVs are even bigger and more ridiculous. This regression in automotive technology is pathetic, and we hate to see this trend destroy the progress that cars have made.

The reasons why I personally hate these BOATS are:

• They're so damn HUGE that they block your vision when doing a left-turn and you can't see the opposite side of the road..is it clear now? Heck, I dunno..this big *** boat is in front of me!! How am I supposed to know???

• They sit HIGHER than cars and they DIRECTLY glare the hell out of you since their headlights are focused right up in your face. I hate it especially when these BOATS tailgate you with their high beams directly focused on your rearview mirror, blinding the hell out of you...

• They're DEFINITELY NOT fuel efficient vehicles. Those V8 Expeditions are notorious GAS GUZZLERS.

• They sit higher than most cars and when they open their doors, the pointed edge would definitely put a permanent *DING in your car. Hell it happened to me!

• You can't see around them when backing out of parking spaces.

• When traffic stops ahead, WE CAN'T SEE!!!
(Why should SUVs have a better view of the road at the expense of everyone else's view? How would you like it if someone sat on a high chair in front of you in a theater? Wouldn't that be slightly RUDE?)

• They take forever to tank up at the gas station, causing others to wait longer for a pump. (although seeing them ring up a $50+ gas tab can be strangely satisfying.

• SUV bumpers ride over top of car bumpers in collisions, turning even a low speed accident into major body damage for the car.

• SUVs are allowed to produce 2-3 times as much smog producing exhaust as cars. This is especially inconsiderate in areas where smog is a problem.

• Most SUVs are distractingly ugly.

Don't you know that *MOST* SUV's are 2-wheel drive??
Then why the hell they are called Sports Utility Vehicles in the first place if they can't handle Off-Road Dirt??

Samples of 2-wheel drive SUVs. Some of them are even Front Wheel Drives!!! Sheez.

* Ford Explorer and Expedition (Explore the urban jungle)
* Mercury Mountaineer (gonna be a tough climb)
* Lincoln Navigator ($40,000+ and 4wd is optional?!)
* Dodge Durango
* Nissan Pathfinder (it can find paths, but can't go on them)
* Lexus RX300 (same engine, chassis as the Toyota Camry for $38,000. But now you can claim to have more offroad prowess than a . . . Camry!)
* Isuzu Rodeo (the bull only has two legs!)
* Honda Passport (your ticket to nowhere)
* Mitsubishi Montero Sport
* Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee (this indian is known as Lame Duck)
* Chevy Blazer, Tahoe, and Suburban (at least the Suburban's name reveals where it will be found)
* GMC Jimmy, Suburban, and Yukon (who would buy a vehicle whose name has the word "Yuk" in it?)
* Suzuki X90
* Suzuki Sidekick
* Geo Tracker (try getting traction with 2wd!)
* Toyota 4Runner and RAV4 (what does the "4" stand for? Oh yeah, it still has 4 wheels, I guess. Perhaps the 4Runner should be renamed the MallRunner)

Oh. And ADD those kills by these notorious SUVs! Those Firestone tires on Ford Explorers are useless POS!

Pero ok din magbasa diyan sa PEx kasi kita mo yung point of view ng non-enthusiast. hehehe.

At lahat ng misconceptions nandun like, diesels are so expensive to maintain, you have to calibrate every year, you need a Japanese subcompact car to get the girls, washer lamps are maporma, etc.
