Mga sirs, meron bang replacement washable gauze or foam air filter para sa crosswind XUV? Gusto ko sanang palitan yung stock filter pero installed sa filter drum pa rin.

The only available na Washable filters now sa market are the Racing type filters. One of them are the K&N, it costs 4,500 and it can still be installed inside the AirFilter housing with a little conversion (& FEE). But if you're a tight budget just stick on the OEMs (orig Parts) w/c lasts 2 to 3 yrs and costs very less. Around 300 to 500Php only. You may use Thick Gauze or oil soaked foams but you may risk having those items sucked in by the engine. I remember my dad b4 used a can of Sausage and 3 layers of stockings used in our carb type Tamaraw way back in the 80's. It didn't had any prob with that.
PS: you may also wash your stock filter * your own risk, just soak and shake it in warm water several times then dry it out well(i put my filter behind our room aircon overnight). i really dont recomended this system but i do that with my Land Cruiser FJ80.

Tnx, sir. Is cleaning the stock air filter with pressurized air every 2,500km ok insted of every 5,000km? Every 20,000km ba talaga ang recommended filter replacement as said by Isuzu?

    hi doy,
linisin mo na lang yung filter mo using compressed air as often as you want. It's not advisable to use free flow filters for diesel engines, baka sa fuel injectors pa bumara yung dust or soot particles na makalusot.
tama si snyc3, mura lang yung OEM filters ng crosswind, it's only P400+. I had mine replaced after 40,000km but I kept the old one as spare. Recently, I washed the old filter using liquid soap (Joy) + water. Ulit ulitin mo lang washing until the water rinsing becomes relatively clean. then air dry by letting it stand at an inclined position.

Ok. Salamat po. Compressed air pala tawag nun. Hehe.. Will check the prices of the ordinary air filter here in cebu or at cagayan de oro. Malamang mas mahal sa probinsya. Kung below P1K, bibili nalang ako tapos mag replace every 20,000km.

I'd change the filters na lang. In my case, I got replacement (OEM) filters (para mas mura), change into a new one every 5000km. A dirty or underperforming air filter will cause smoke belching (among other problems), lalo na sa Isuzu engines. Just my suggestion.

habol ko lang...for doy's benefit. Di pala P400+, P662 pala price ng OEM air filter for xwind.

Meron naman sigurong mas mura na japan replacement paper filter for my ride. Will try checking the shops here. Wag nalang yung washable types. Masyadong mahal kasi tapos hindi pala advisable.
