    Toyota Corolla Xe 94 Model:

Tyia!!!

    dont use additives.
use the next shell variant, yung dilaw.

In the long run, mas hindi ka makaka-save.

Better to just change your oil every 5,000kms even with 20W-50 mineral base oil; before i would use Petron Ultron Touring.

All the more you would want your car to be reliable given na isasakay mo rin dyan yung anak mo pag nandyan na siya (congrats!).

You can still be a wise spender without scrimping the wrong way. Research and budget budget lang. Set aside money every payday for your household, transpo, etc... makakaraos din yan.

Red Shell oil is 20W-50. That's the Helix HX3.
Yellow one is Helix HX5, with a viscosity of 15W-40.

Mahirap na ata maghanap ng oil na mas makapal pa sa 50, so I don't quite agree with what the TS' mechanic said about the oil being too thin to properly cover the inevitable cracks in the gaskets of an old car.

Try another high viscosity oil to be sure, but I would suggest you stick with 20W-50.

Kung 20W-50 ang Helix HX3, sakto na yan. Ganyan gamit ko sa Corolla ko before. Sakto lang naman yung 20W-50

I used to use Top1, pero nag-Castrol na rin ako eventually.
