    Problema ng kia cd5 91 ko po pag binibitawan yung gas eh mamamatay. Bago pa po mangyari yun eh pina ayos ko muna sa mekaniko yung carb dahil kelangan pang bombahin bago mag start kasi bumababa yung gasoline from carb. Tas after kong di ma start ng 2 days lumabas na yung topak na after ma start, mamamatay yung makina pag hindi inapakan yung gas. Sinubukan na naming taasan yung idle pero sobrang taas naman. Kahit na matagal nang naka on ganun pa rin.. HELP naman about this! Thanks!

    try cleaning the carburetor first with spray or aerosol carburetor cleaner. clean the linkages and the throat while holding the throttle plate open. then allow the cleaning solvent to evaporate. running the engine with the solvent overloads the catalytic converter and possibly contaminates the oxygen sensor.

    Sir Jick,
    Thanks for your quick reply! We've already tried cleaning the carb twice before installing the repair kit to fix the hard-start problem. And it seems that it doesn't fix the issue. The mechanic even changed the fuel jet to a larger one. Hmmm.. Really frustrating because it'll be the 3rd "back-job" for the mechanic.

    Sa tingin ko hindi kailangan munang palitan ang jet ng mas malaki. And advice ko lang nasa carburator ang problema kailangan mo siguro iyong expert sa carburator hindi lahat ng mechaniko bihasa rito . Kung hindi niya kaya dalin mo sa carburator expert na gumagawa . Sa kamuning may mga gumagawa ng carburator diyan at iyon lang ang ginagawa nila magoverhaul ng carburator. Mangyayari diyan trial and error papalit ng parts titignan kung maayos. Tol suggestion ko lang ito.

    Yun nga po ang gusto kong mangyari para malaman din kung ano yung sanhi ng problema. Kaso, hindi po ba kaya masira yung tsikot pag bumiyahe ako ng sobrang lakas ng idle? Halos gusto nang pumalag ng makina eh. Tapos anu kaya problema bakit sinisipsip pa baba yung gasolina galing carb?

    who made the carburetor? is it mitsubishi, hitachi? mikuni? aisan? sorry i have no clue what type carburetor you might have. it might be that the metering rods are misadjusted. is it a feedback type carburetor(computer monitored and partially controlled)?

    have you checked if you have a vacuum leak past the throttle plates? a vacuum leak will give the same symptoms. hook a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold and verify if you have between 17-21 inHg of vacuum. this problem will occur regardless of engine temperature. when you had the first symptom worked on, there is a possibility of a vacuum hose inadvertently uninstalled. there could be a problem with the vacuum brake booster or the PCV valve stuck open.

    Sir Jick,
    Whooo.. Yeah, I remembered he pulled something out from vacuum hose. He even reduced the length of it by cutting 2 inches from the other end of it. The small thingy looks like an inch white pear-shaped cap thats located inside the hose. My father told me that it works like a "trap-door" inside the hose, letting the air pass but not to make it go back.

    Before the No Idle Problem, your carburator seems to work normally except that you need to press the accelarator before starting the engine. In all carburated engine, the normal starting procedure in their owner's manual would say that you need to press at least once the accelarator before starting the engine. But othertime an engine would start normally even without pressing the accelarator pedal.

    After your mechanic overhaul the carburator, some dirt might have gotten into your idle jet, since it only appearred two days after overhauling the carb. If the idle jet is clean and the problem is still there, there lots of things that can have a no idle carb. Some are the following, HydraVac (brake), cracked vacuum hoses, cracked heat insulator between carb and intake manifold, loosen intake manifold bolt or nut, partially open secondary throttle plate, idle shut off solenoid (if your carb is equipped).

    may singaw un carburator kaya wlang idle speed ,ang dapat na rpm ng idling nasa 800-850 rpm,palpak un gumawa ng carb.dAPAT REOVERHAUL ULIT UN CARB SA MEKANIKO KARAPAT DAPAT UN SPECIALIZE.

Namamatay pag binibitawan ang gas pedals
