when I checked the radiator while engine is running I can see very little bubbles. The bubble size are the size of softdrinks spirits and I can smell gasoline from the coolant reservoir, however water is clear and no sign of oil in it. The oil on the dipstick and oil cap doesnt have a trace of water either. Color reddish black pa yung color ng oil and doenst feel waterly when touched.

Im assuming blown headgasket or cracked valve guides here but im not really sure. My mechanic told me ok pa naman but were not sure kung tatagal pa yun head. What do you think?

    badtoy,
what make, model, year, fuel delivery system type? if it is carbureted, some of the carburetors have EFE(early fuel evaporation systems when the engine is cold and the the antifreeze/coolant has a passage in the carburetor. put it in mind, that the fuel pressure in a carbureted engine is lower than 5 psi and that the antifreeze/coolant is at around 13-15 psi.

Hi Jick. Im sorry I forgot to mention the engine. Its a 4AGE redtop corolla engine. Its originally found on a 92 model corolla in japan. Its EFi so i guess that EFE system isnt considered.

malamang may minor leak ka sa cylinder head gasket or a little warpage in your head. but it is still minor, mag tatagal pa yan, pag ipunan mo ng 6 months then pede ka na mag sabay ng piston ring and valve paayos (dukot or top overhaul).

Pag rainy seasons, the rain and cool air contributes to the cooling of the radiator and coolant. Another thing that contributes to cooling is the minimum use of the air conditioning.

Lagi mo lang check ang coolant mo, dapat ata 50% coolant and 50% water depending on the manufacturer.

have your car engine combustion chamber pressure tested to confirm a leak on the cylinder head gasket.
