November 10th, 2009 01:32 PM #1Good day.

bloodimir,
your car might be suffering from fuel percolation. what this means is that after a run and the engine gets hot, the fuel in the carburetor and in the line between the fuel pump boil over and evaporate. then it takes time for the pump to replenish the fuel lost in the carburetor from percolation. at the base of your carburetor, there should be a plastic-like material to insulate the carburetor from the heat of the intake manifold. this symptom was predominant of the cars of the '60s up to the '70s then the fuel lines were insulated or shielded from the heat and the carburetor insulated at the base.
