patulong sana ako lalo na sa meron 2000 civic lxi m/t na auto. base sa experience nyo ano ba mairecommend nyo na oil sa ganitong model?

Gusto ko kase try yung Motul Htec 100 na fully synthetic. ok din ba to?
Pag mineral oil lang mga sir, ano ba mairecommend nyo? Medyo tipid din kase ako sa budget kaya baka mineral oil lang gamitin ko.

medyo magulo post mo bro... ano ba priority mo? budget o performance? ake note na malaki ang price difference ng FS and mineral oils.

kung mineral oil, i would recommend Mobil.

the difference bet. mineral oil and synthetic oil is their life span inside the engine. mineral oil burn faster that sythetic oil. usually engines with mineral oil recommend replace every 5000 km compared to synthetic that can last up to 15-20K km.

mineral oil is refine and by-products are remove and several additives are added like foaming resistance-prevents oil to aerate by the churning action of the crankshaft, detergent dispersant-cleans the engine sluge carbon deposits, extreme pressure resistance-penetrating action of the oil, resistance to carbon formation anti oxidant-fights the formation of carbon and slugs, corrosion and rust inhibitors- prevents the metal parts to rust formation,Viscosity modifiers-prevents oil to vary its viscosity during hot or cold ambient temp (10W40 or 20W50),API rating-Indicates oil performance in protecting your engine.

2 important things you can find in an engine oil container that you can base if it is the best oil are the SAE and API rating. SAE indicates if your oil is mono grade or multi grade. SAE 40 meaning oil is mono grade primarily use for engines that runs in an ambient temp that doesent vary and always warm. multi grade oils like 10W40 (-18 to 40 deg cel or 20W50-12 to 40 deg cel) are usually use the engines with coldest to hottest ambient temp.

oil is thick becomes thick (malapot) when cold and thin (malabnaw) when hot. SAE multi grade oil prevent this.

API rating indicates if the oil is for gasoline or diesel engines. SG,SJ,SM,SL is for gasoline and CC,CD,CF,CG,CH are for diesel engines. S meaning Spark ignition engines and C meaning Compression ignition engine. athe letters preceeding the S and C indicates how high thet oil can protect your engine. the higher the letter the better like SM is better than SG and CH is better than CC. there are also oil that indicate bothe for gasoline or diesel like API SG, CC meaning it is recommended for gasoline and can also be use for diesel but not recommended. API CH,SJ means that it is recommended for diesel but and can be use on gasoline but not recommended.

so prices will vary mainly by the brand name, mineral or synthetic, and thier SAE and API rating. its a matter of you choice. its nots recommendation but giving you options.

Sensya na magulo ba. Mas priority ko sa ngayon ang budget. Regarding don sa nirecommmend mo na Mobil. Pwede mo ba ko bigyan nong specific na oil ng Mobil?

Just in case magkaron ako budget, pag FS naman ano marerecommend mo?

kung budget, mineral na lang muna... hirap yung motul ka nga, wala ka naman panggas.

mineral would cost around 1k - 1.5k kasama oil filter (depende sa brand). meron din 800 lang change oil ka na.

motul would cost around 2.5k - 3k kasama oil filter. mas ok talaga fully synthetic. may ok takbo ng oto mo.

Ano ba yung Viscosity at API service requirements ng engine mo. If you can find a Mineral oil that will fit or exceeds your engine specification then no need to use Fully Synthetic oils. Chevron, Caltex and Mobil are reliable engine oil makers.

Yung oil filter mo di rin kelangan yung exotic ang brand of presyo, pero wag din yung mga Cheapos.
