Anyone have feedback on Petron HTP oils? They have Blaze Racing 0w40 HTP and Rev X Turbo 5w40 HTP fully synthetic oils. HTP stands for High Temperature Protection. What’s interesting about these oils is that they are supposedly made with Group IV PAO (polyalphaolefin) base oil. Same stuff that Mobil 1 uses. Most “Fully Synthetic” oils are actually Group III base oils made from highly refined crude oil that approaches performance level of PAO oils.

Not sure how much it sells in their stations but I bought 7L of the RevX HTP for my Kia Carnival from Lazada at P400/L (on sale). A lot more expensive than the Zic X7 10w30 I previously used but its cheap for a Grp IV PAO oil.

Honestly, can’t tell the difference...that said, my Carnival has always been well taken cared of so it was running smoothly (well, for a diesel) even prior tomthe oil change.
