ENGINE SIZE/DISPLACEMENT vs OIL CAPACITY

Please post how many liters of oil are needed for the following engine sizes:

1. for 1000cc-1500cc engines
2. for 1600cc-2000cc engines
3. for 2.2 lt. – 3.0 lt. engines
4. for 3.2lt. – 4.0 lt. engines
5. for 280HP - 350HP engines
6. for 400HP - 500HP engines

1.6 liters, usually 3.5 liters of oil
2.0 liters, around 3.75 liters of oil.

This varies per model and engine, but that's the general rule.

I don't know about 2.2 ltr - 4.0 ltr engines. Maybe someone else can help.

There is no general rule as to the oil capacity of engines depending on horsepower. For example, a 2.0 liter 4G63 Evo engine requires maybe 4 liters of oil, and produces the same power as a 5.7 liter V8, which would require more than 10 liters of oil. It really just depends on the size of the engine.

Our 4.2L diesel engine need 10-11 liters inbetween oil changes.

sir, siguro naman po kung bumili tayo ng auto may owners manual po naman po un. dun na lang po natin verify kung ilan talaga ang kailangan na langis ng engine natin para mas safe bago tayo maglagay at bumili kung ilnag liters na gagamitin natin. thks po.

my 3.0 liter ZD30 engine uses 8.1 liters of oil. earlier models of the same engine uses only 6 liters of oil. after they found out it was not enough (crank case cracking), they modified the oil pan to a bigger one to accomodate more oil.

Accdg to the owner's manual, the 4A-FE (1.6L) requires 3.2L of oil. Pero nung sinalin yung 4L container, parang mga 0.5L na nga lang ang natira... Hmmm...

Ganuun usually... whatever the manual says, most 1.6s only take 3.5 liters to get to the F mark on the dipstick.

Mga Sir question lang po sa mga naka CRV Gen 1 dito, gano po ba kalaki ang oil capacity nito, yung nakita ko pa kasi sa manual roughly 4.69 liters eh, ano po ba yung talagang eksakto?? :confused:
