    Magandang araw mga tsikoteers, Pa help naman po about my car troubles.

    Details: 1982 toyota corona
    Original 12r engine
    Newly general overhaul, replaced sparkplugs, Hi tension wires, oil change and tune up.

    Bale mga two weeks ago pina general overhaul ko ang car ko kasi humina na un hatak nya, and malakas na magbuga ng smoke tapos ang ingay ingay ng engine parang may kumakatok, naayos naman un pagkabalik ng car at smooth na yun andar. then 2-3 days later bigla na lang siya nag buga na naman ng white smoke then binalik ko and sabi nya pumutok un isang spark plug(factory defect) kaya rin siya umuusok sa tailpipe. Then okay na uli... then ngayon, minsan naman okay siya, one click start tapos smooth ang idle niya pero may mga instances na mga 3-4 times na matagal bago magstart un engine, redondo lang ng redondo then pagkumagat na un engine maglalaro lang un idle niya sa 200-300 rpm hanggang mamatay engine, paulit ulit un, at matagal bago maistart uli. One time nag da drive ako, nailagay ko lang sandali sa neutral kasi pababa naman ang kalye, biglang namatay ang engine, ang hirap pa naman ng brakes pag walang engine buti na lang walang kasunod.

    Sumpong sumpong lang siya, minsan okay na okay andar nya pati idle, minsan naman matagal bago mag start tapos kailangan ko pa ibalance un gas para di mamatay engine, may times naman na smooth na smooth siya sa 850 rpm.

    Parang istorya na eheh^ sana may nakakaalam ng prob ng car ko at makatulong.. OH btw, may napansin akong isang tube na galing sa ilalaim ng carburator cover inalis ng mekaniko at nilagyan ng screw sa dulo at hayaan ko lang daw un, then may tube sa may ibabaw ng engine cover beside the oil filler cap na nakalagay lang pababa sa side ng engine, may oil lagi sa dulo nito...

    Malaki ang hinala ko na may bara ang carburator &/or my vacuum hose na hindi nakakabit sa carb kaya sobra hangin kulang ang gas=patay makina.
    Ang toyota corona ko dati ay 12r ang makina, ang mga binanggit ko ang problema pag pareho ang trouble na sa iyo.

    Thanks po sa reply.. actually may napansin akong maliit na hose galing sa may carb mga 1 feet ang haba then sa dulo nito may nakalagay na parang screw, nang itanong ko sa nag overhaul ng engine ko sagot niya, "hayaan mo na yun, tinakpan ko na un dulo."

    Problema ko lang pasumpong sumpong ang topak ng kotse, pag dumadating un mekaniko, maayos na maayos naman ang takbo...

    Kung maayos ang electrical side ng ignition system (spark plugs, distributor, high tension wires, ignition coil and timing) then sa carburador ang problema. Pagawa mo ang carburador sa talagang marunong na mekaniko (hindi lahat na mekaniko ay marunong sa carburador). Good Luck

    Update:

    bumili ako ng carb cleaner then ginamit ko sa carburetor ko after that napansin ko na one click starts na nangyayari at hindi ko na kailangan mag pump ng accelerator kagaya noon, may kinalaman ba un paggamit ko ng carb spray sa ganon?

    Another problem na im trying to get rid of, baka sakaling may naka experience na nito. Normal RPM ko is 850, no load whatsoever, Pero once na i-on ko ang aircon, biglang babagsak ang RPM ko to around 500-400 and kung minamalas namamatay ang engine, Saan mas magandang patingnan ang ganito, sa carb specialist or sa aircon specialist? Im thinking baka un idle up ang may problema pero not sure. one more thing, normal ba un pag on ko ng headlights bababa ng konti ang rpm, mga less 100... thanks!

    Dalhin mo sa Kamuning. M2m pangalan ng Carb specialist.. Dun ako nag papagawa ng Carb ko... although nissan sa aken...

    Hi joyluck, I had the same 12R engine in my toyota silver edition years ago. The carb cleaner you used might have "cleaned" the carburetor but i still suggest that you have an experienced mechanic overhaul your carburetor. Purchase a repair kit and have the mechanic replace all the jets.

    As for the the engine idle going down to 200 RPM when the aircon is turned on, I think you would need to adjust your idle speed to around 900 to 950 RPM. This engine is not equipped with a vacuum actuator that increases idle speed when the aircon is turned on.

    It is quite normal that idling drops when headlights are turned on due to the extra load in the alternator.

    I am doing your advise, i already bought a carb repair kit then sa monday ay carb overhaul na.. One more thing na pinagawa ko is pinapalitan ko un gasket from intake manifold to muffler pipes kasi hindi daw nilagyan ng nag gen overhaul at malakas daw ang singaw doon, about the aircon issue, wala daw vaccuum hose para sa ac un carb na nakakabit sa engine ko (pang 5k ang carb) Is there any other way i can use my aircon without having to change my carb? thanks!

    Hi Joyluck, you can still use your aircon but you just need to set your idling RPM to around 900 even 1000 RPM so that di mamatay engine when you turn on the aircon.
