Sir Yebo I did mod #1 sometime ago when i came accross that same site kaya lang sir ang problema ko hindi ko talaga maitapat sa intake side yung marked plugs!

ano po ibig sabihin ng "index your plugs" ? Sorry, di ko po ma-view yung link kasi may nag-fi-filter dito sa ofc ng site na yon (hehe buti di pa nila nafi-filter ang tsikot!).

Another thing about spark plugs: make sure to use the exact specified plugs in the car manual. Minsan sinasabi lang ng mechanic na ok na yun plugs na nilalagay nila. nde totoo yun. mas maganda kung exact specs as specified by the manufacturer or better. Naranasan ko na dati, nag pa tune up ako, ginamit ngk bkr6e yata yun, dapat ngk zfr7f-11 or something like that(extended plug dapat), pansin yung difference sa takbo ng makina.

OT: mas madali mag gain ng 5 horsepower maglagay ka lang ng stickers or mga type R
logos and stuff... hehe

I don't have my car's manual anymore, would anyone know what the prescribed plugs should be for a 97 mit. lancer glxi?

indexing the plug means marking the spark plug where the opened side is (or opposite the ground tip). then when the plug is installed position the open side towards the intake manifold. to do this when the plug is already hand tight in the spark plug hole tighten it so that the mark faces the intake manifold. good for 1hp gain daw sabi sa site.

Actually, it's common sense... I can't believe I haven't done it myself.

It could also be why people complain that 4-tip plugs feel like crap... as there's always a post disrupting airflow past the tip no matter what orientation it's in!
