How to improve my gas consumption..?

I have this toyota corolla 96 XE

my gas consumption now is 8.5 to 9 km per liter city driving kapag long drive i reach about 14 to 15 km per liter..

I would like to improve my gas consumption in city driving.. masaya na aku if aabot ng 11 km per liter city drive..


any suggestion?.. how to drive?.. parts to change? parts to be checked?

Matipid na yan sayo, kami nga mga innova user, masaya na sa 8km/liter na city drive, ang swerte na kapag napa 8km/liter yung sa amin.

Look around sa other FC thread dito and compare...maganda pa yang sa iyo for city driving

Try mo rin muna suggestions ni Retz.

Other way to resolve regarding sa short budget naman is to commute na lang then I schedule mo na lang pag gamit ng auto kung talagang kailangan. (Try to imagine na parang coding ka on that day )

sorry but i disagree with this... the size of your innova is not comparable with the corolla sedan and should differ in their respective FC

You should already be happy, mine is only 5.5 km/liter. Pero it is acceptable to me.

Try driving with a lighter right foot and maintain rev below 2000rpm. Monitor if this improves your mileage.

i dont know about the TS but that is already matipid imho. our corolla with 2e engine goes 8km/li city.

my 1.3 vios got 12km/li lately but that already fuel injected.

if the TS uses the car daily and accumulates lots of mileage, maybe an lpg retrofit might be an option...
