    boybitz,

thanks a lot for the info your efforts are highly appreciated

sa honda kase I was checking out the superhonda forum and it says there that in honda trannys you could either use Honda MTF or Redline MTL/ MT 90. basta GL 4 yung rating ng Transmission oil.

I'm not sure about Lancers though

I used to use MT90 but drained it, because it shift action seemed stiffer.
Now I'm using 40 weight motor oil with MoS2 additive for it.

for yourr info lang......GL 4 rating ba kamo...isa sa gear oil ng Caltex is MTO Thuban GL 4 SAE 90 pero I'm using Havoline Formula SAE 20W-50 as my gear oil kasi eto nakalagay sa Caltex Auto Lubrication Guide for M/T ng Honda Civic and Accord from '98 to '01...

my previous civic logged in 120K++kms and it used 20W50 motor oil for its transmission. never had any problems so i guess its safe to use them.

logic says... if you use motor oil for your transmission fluid and you're supposed to use transmission fluid for your power steering (tama ba?) then can you use motor oil for your power steering?
