It would be nice to shoehorn in a TD42 from a Patrol Safari or a 1HDT from a Land Cruiser but those engines are pricey (especially the LC engine).
I guess you can look at the common engines we have locally:
- 4D56 (Mitsu)
- TD27 or QD32 (Nissan)

If i were in your shoes and money is not an issue, I'll jump immediately sa patrol engine (TD42) and tranny-tranfer case...
If money is an issue...stick to your stock 4DR5...modify it (if possible) to accomodate a turbo and intercooler, match the gearing to your needs and tire size na lang.
