Can we use diesel oil with the same API rating in our gas engines.
E.g Caltex Delo Gold Multigrade.
Has anyone tried this in their car(s)

Madami na gumawa nyan. As long as you change your oil often and regular driving conditions, it won't make much of a diff.
Bandido: won't really save you a lot of money since you'll probably have to change the oil sooner anyway.
Some oils are designed for fleet use so pwede talaga for any kind of engine.

If your going to use mono-grade oil, don't go any higher than 30W. Diesel engine usually uses 15-40W oil, but its also good for gas engine. If its your personal car/truck, don't short change your oil, its your engine's blood. Without it, your car will never run. Mobil 1 came out with this Super Synthetic that you don't have to change up to 15,000 miles or 1 year, that's what I have in my truck right now. Hopefully, it will hold just like what Mobil 1 has advertise.
