ask ko lang coz' during our 1st 5000 kms pms nakita ko sa job order ng casa na kailangan daw lagyan ng fuel treatment yung altis namin. tinanong ko sa SA if this is necessary and he said na kailangan nga raw. hindi naman ni explain why kailangan ito. tanong ko lang if this is really necessary? if necessary then how often do they need to put this fuel treatment? nasa php500+ yung fuel treatment ng casa.

    imho, hindi.
dahil may sarili ng additives and cleaners ang mga fuel natin dito ngayon eh.

Ideally no, because your car if in top shape should not require supplements to help it get by. Some treatments can actually do more harm than good if it wasn't necessary and yet they still used it. They should have told you first before anything else. Otherwise if anything goes bad with the engine sagot nila yan.

Is your car having problems with anything fuel related?

Better if you buy those fuel injector cleaners/fuel treatment additives sold in Ace Hardware stores. Less than P200 per bottle. Pour and forget.

At 5k mileage, I dont think you really need it yet, not unless you've used contaminated gasoline which clogged the fuel lines and injectors.

IMO, its just another money-making scheme by the casa.

thanks for the infos, guys. actually, this is just the 2nd time ako nag pa pms sa casa. una yung 1st 1k then eto yung 2nd ang 5k pms. the SA didn't explain yung mga gagawin sa kotse during 5k pms. buti nalang nag tanong ako. kaso hindi naman na explain ng maayos. they even had the engine flash pero pinatanggal ko rin kasi no need narin yun. yung hindi ko lang alam is yung fuel treatment kaya hindi ko napatanggal. wala naman problem altis namin related sa fuel.

thanks for the advise. next time i won't be using that fuel treatment.

racket talaga yan ng casa. nadali din ako nung 1st 1000km check up. pinadala ko lang sa driver. nilagyan ba naman ng fuel treatment at may engine flush pa 1000 kms pa lang

sa 5000 kms bilin ko no fuel treatment and no engine flush. wala namang sinabi yung SA.

That's another reason why I stopped brining my car to the Toyota casa. They add this "fuel treatment" thing without even asking for my permission or notifying me in advance. Makikita mo na lang sa bill mo.
