Toyota 5K engine problem

I have a problem with my Toyota 5K engine. Newly overhauled po sya last December. Last week po napansin ko po na palyado makina so pinacheck ko po sa mekaniko. Problem po ay di functioning 3rd spark plug tapos nung pinalitan ayaw pa rin po gumana. Yung iba eh ok naman po sa 3rd lang ayaw. Pinacheck ko na rin po tension wire ok naman po. Sabi po ng mekaniko eh dapat ko daw top overhaul kasi di functioning valve at para maayos pressure sa makina. Hindi daw maayos settings ng valve after overhaul. Any suggestion po. Wala po kasi ako masyadong idea sa mga engine kasi po nurse ako. Sana po matulongan nyo ako. Salamat.

before thinking of opening the engine, do a compression test first...

kung maganda compression at may spark sa hi-tension wire, check the fuel injector...

have a second opinion with another mechanic...carburetted and distributor type yang toyota 5K...a spark plug is supposed to fire even if the engine has an excessive loss of compression....so the problem might be somewhere else...

agree, check the ignition system first before opening the engine. Research ka lang sa net on details, maraming readings regarding sa problem mo. Change your mechanic too.
