curious lang malaman kung totoo bang environment friendly yung trooper and new patrol because of their modern engines.

d naman nakukuha sa usok yan, it's the chemical components of the smoke thats important, pak n trooper ko mausok but pumasa kasi diesel will always be mausok but the smoke is clean.

makapal din naman yung usok nung senbel safari (i saw the smoke against the light nung hinataw nung product demo) kaso nde black and nde gaanong maamoy ("french fries" daw hehe)

nde naman siguro talaga mawawala yung usok sir MBT.. inherent na ata talga sa diesel yun... ang binabawasan na lang talaga is the harmful particulates na lumalabas sa tambutso.. less darker smoke.. better emission (not necessarily no smoke.. kahit naman gas meron smoke kasi eh)... siguro it would boil down to the break down in chemical form of the emitted smoke.. kung baka... how much CO, HCO etc.. or whatever chemical there is.. hehe.e nde ako chemist kaya nde ko alam kung ano yung mga yun... :mrgreen:

pansin ko, mga pajero na 4d56 at 4m40 dami mausok.

nakausap ko din friend ko na may ari ng isang emission testing center. among diesel SUVs, pajero marami bumabagsak, kahit na 1 year old pa lang or less, then sa mga 3.0 turbodiesel patrol, wala pa bumabagsak sa kanila.

mga 4D56 brothers and mga pinsan kong 4M40 ... mausok daw tayo sa kalye? he.hehe. pero i agree marami akong nakitang Pajero dito sa cebu mausok pero meron din naman trooper na mausok yung mga Big Horn na auction.... siguro mas madami lang unit and owners ng Pajero kaya parati ko napapansin

Anyways, hindi naman sa pagmamayabang, pero yung paje ko hindi naman mausok from idle to around 3200rpm. Nagpalit kami ng paje nung pinsan ko (gas) tapos tinignan ko yung exhaust nung sakin.... konti lang lumalabas.... pag nagkakambyo lang (parang bastos).

Bagong overhaul kasi sabay sagana pa sa hugas yung exhaust pipe ko. Partida di pa ako gumagamit ng biodiesel.

Guy doing the measurements must've stuck the probe in the wrong pipe, though I wonder how that could've happened. :mrgreen: I know one other case like this, for the MCC Smart. The car has a pipe to reinforce the rear, with the 2 open end facing rearwards. The actual exhaust is hidden, and during emission testing the guy inserted the probe into one of the pipes resulting in zero emission. :mrgreen:
