In the 80s when I used to work at a dealership, we substituted Daimler Benz automatic transmission fluid with Valvoline at. The Daimler at was priced at around $19 while the valvoline priced at around $2.70. The chemical composition and compatibility were of Dexron II requirements. The only difference is the blue plastic bottle of Benz oil. The cars never had any transmission related problems. More than likely they both came from the same petroleum distillation plant. Similar to Toyota parts sold for a higher price in a Lexus box.
Naka ENEOS brand ang Toyota oil API SP fully synthetic 5w30 made in Vietnam[/QUOTE]
I
I don't see made by ENEOS, just "Imported by ENEOS Philippines"
AFAIK Toyota Genuine Motor Oils (TMGO) are made by Mobil.
acea c2 is mid-saps and lower hths. i'd rather use a full saps with higher hths
What is the API 'C' category of this oil?
Just had my last free PMS yesterday and instead of using the regular Toyota 15w40 API CI-4 (out of stock or phased out), they offered me as a free upgrade this TGFS API SP/C_ oil... but I can't read what came after 'C' from a distance and through a hazy window.
If my eyes don't deceive me, it's C2 (ACEA). If so, I haven't seen an oil with mixed API and ACEA categories side by side, especially if there's also a C category under API.
