Change of stock Air Intake

i'am planning to change my stock air intake to a simota stainless pipe air intake. Is their any adjustment, disadvantages/advantages on the engine that will I get? Thank you..

im not car expert pero may konting gain naman yung aftermarket air filter. the thing i love the most with this upgrade is the sound of the engine! sarap patayin yung sound system then listen to the air getting in the system. hehehe

hintayin natin yung mga experts on how much real gain you can get from these.

sir, gusto ko kc purely air intake ang pag-uusapan. Hindi ko rin kc alam beginner lang po ako sa ganyan... medyo tanong mo na ako sa mga expert sa air intake replacement. Sa gasoline consumption kaya magbabago ba? Thank you...

for me sa power at gas consumption may diff. simota po gamit ko ngayon.

dude, halos same tau ng ride, 1.3 lng nga lng sa akin...
sa Gain, slight, pero di mo masyadong maNotice, kung nabirit mo sya before and after...
sa fuel consmp, Im not so sure, pero pansin ko, medyo napapalakas ako sa gas, ung 500 gas ko for about 3 1/2 days (ppsok ako sa office the 4th day, pero pag uwe, kelangan ko na magpaGas), medyo naging 3 days na lng (the ride home on the 3rd day, kelangan magpaGas na ako, im not so xure ha, or tlgang madiin na lng ako tumapak,

ANu ba habol mo performance? IHE upgrade ka, mga 20-30hp additional, sa akin ha, e 1.3 ako, not so sure, sa 1.5 ng SX8...

Very mild usually ang gain ng intake, headers and exhaust (I/H/E).

If you want to be certain of the gains, you should schedule a visit to the dynamometer. Mahal, pero at least alam mo yung kinabit mo may idinagdag talaga sa lakas ng makina. A dynamometer or dyno doesn't lie.

Some intakes, headers and exhausts aren't properly designed for the engine and may even rob you of some power.

I think for that case, kung mali or hindi tama yung mga specs na pinakabit sa ride mo, right? pero kung tama naman ung specs, maliit lng ung gain for IHE, pero noticeable naman..., pero kaya ka pa rin talunin ng 1.5 na car na may Exhuast upgrade lng.. eheh

sir, theres no particular difference sa FC ang single upgrade na yan, unless hataw mo lagi dahil sa sound it produces.

There is no much gain sakin but smoother acceleration but the down side is supposedly cold air intake mainit na ang pumapasok due to the tubing but the sound is fantastic regarding sa FC di naman masyado malaki differece siguro .5 liter ang savings but still. In regards with the car specs usualli ung mga may computer box the computer compensates with the air flow coming in hence adjusting itself
