engine oil smells gasoline

hello fellow tsikot fans! bakit kaya amoy gasoline ang engine oil ng oto ko,i noticed it when i wipe the oil dipstick, binuksan ko rin yung lagayan ng oil and tried na amuyin ayun smells gas nga.normal na amoy ba yun o nakakalito lang ang amoy ng oil at gas? so far wala naman problema yung car..hope matulungan nyo ako guys thanks

Mag taka ka kung ang dipstick oil level mo tumataas every check up siguradong nadadagdagan ng gas yan

Maaaring hindi masyadong nasusunog gasolina ng makina mo . Check mo kulay ng sparkplug kung ma carbon na itim ang kulay.

yes you should keep a close eye on your oil level. pag nadagdagan yan overnight lumulusot na unburnt fuel in between the piston rings papunta sa oil pan.

plus fuel may leak also into the crankcase via the fuel pump diaphragm.

Minsan, misleading talaga amoy ng langis sa makina. Pero kung amoy gas talaga, pachange oil and filter mo muna, delikado sa makina kung may halong gas na.

Gasoline in engine oil can be caused by:

1. mixture not being burned properly which would suggest spark plugs, coils or cables,
2. signs of blow-by; worn-out rings,

as suggested by the others.

Best is to have a competent mechanic check on it though.

ano nga po yung oto?
when a fuel pump conks out(worn diaphragm) ... petrol will seep/mix into your engine oil via cylinder head/crank case... depends on engine's make.
visual sign of a dying pump(conventional pumps); meron parang drain tube usually yan , pag may oil leak na... time to replace the pump.

we replaced the fuel pump of my bro's former Feroza with that given symptom(oil leak).

normal lang yun kasi gawa ng blow by gases kaya nagkakaron ng amoy gasolina.kung ang amoy ng gasoline sa muffler yun ang di maganda rich mixture yun air and fuel ratio..ang theoretical air and fuel ratio is 14.7is to 1..
ibig sabihin 14.7% ng air and 1% of gasoline..
