Hi folks! Can someone compare and contrast these two fuels? Which one is better for a BT and why?
My baby is in the shop and currently under the knife for transplant of a BT so I wanna know which fuel to use.

Short answer - any of the 2 will do.
By BT I assume you mean a 4AGE Blacktop. But even with a high-revving engine such as that, all you need is to meet the minimum octane requirement, which both engines meet. Biggest difference is that Blaze doesn't have ethanol.
Truth be told, fuels from different brands are more similar than they're different. The differences that people claim are almost always subjective and inconsistent. Best option is to try both for yourself and see what you like more.
Personally I'll just fill up with 95 octane for a 4AGE which is much cheaper (around P1.50-2.00/L) than Nitro+R and Blaze.
Thanks sir. What about other perks?
Alin ba jan yung may tie up sa SM advantage? I gas up right now with the total 95 ron... pde naman yun kaso mas gusto ko maexperiencr hatak ni BT once nakabit na so naisip ko blaze..
i think BT requires 100 octane, its a hi-comp engine after all. so just give what it wants
lower octane might result to pinging, haven't tried thou.

Shell Citi card? kakukuha ko rin lang pero ang paliwanag sa akin eh 5% ang rebate sa Shell card for non-petrol transactions. Ang banefits eh yung mga driving assistance i.e., tow service nationwide etc.. Pero parang yung 3% ata is for Petrol usages
Sorry kung OT na.. hehe
Oks lang mga fafs... gusto ko din malaman ibang cards etc...
Yeah BT is high comp... 11:1 if i remember correctly... high lift cams pa so i want to ensure walang katok... v-power nitro+r is also 100 octane?
Ay... 97 lang pala vpower+r... kalevel lang pala ng xcs at excellium...
Ay... 97 lang pala ang vpower nitro+r... such mouthful for a fuel na sing level lang ng xcs at excellium hahaha
Excellium and XCS are 95 octane gasolines.
As I've said before, as long as your engine doesn't knock with lower octanes, there's no point in higher octane engines. Also, higher octane does not mean better fuel.
AFAIK the 4AGE runs on 95 octane. No need to run on Blaze if it runs fine on Excellium. Try dyno-ing it if you see any difference. Most of the time, any improvements with higher octane engines are just perceived. I'm willing to bet that if people blind-tested different fuels and different octanes, they wouldn't be able to tell which is which.
Thing is, results will vary depending on the car and driver. Every now and then, oil companies will sponsor some fuel efficiency challenge comparing 2 of their products (i.e. FuelSave vs V-Power). But the difference are very small that you can't really pinpoint it to the fuel or if it's just a result of slightly different driving conditions. Even in tests where identical cars take identical routes in convoy of each other, the driver factor makes a big difference. If you use the same driver, the traffic condition could be different from one run to the other.
If you do the tests in a completely controlled environment, it won't be relevant to real world usage. C! magazine tries to do a lot of these controlled tests but even then, their results are still sometimes different from what real world owners get.
Bottomline, and this is something oil companies don't want you to know, is that fuels are much more identical than what the buying public thinks. Pero makukulit mga buyer eh.
with the fast paced information technology ngayon, talagang laging hyper ang curiosity ng consumers
Also, are sure xcs and excellium are 95s? I was sure xcs was 98 and excellium was 97. Sa petron xtra unleaded un 95 dba?

100% sure. I'd have been 100% out of my job if I didn't know by heart what each petroleum company offers.
