Tanong lang mga gurus, I have a 1999 Toyota Hi-ace van subic. Bakit kaya ganun? May prob ba compressor ng van ko?

    Thanks

*120kph or more, turn off your air-con. Ganun talaga dapat.

if the a/c cuts out at this vehicle speed, it might be more linked to the engine speed. either the system is low on charge making the clutch cycle on and off or your compressor clutch has a speed sensor that cuts out at certain rpm. if the car engine speeds up, so does the a/c compressor and if there is insufficient charge or there is a restriction on the low side, the low pressure switch will cut clutch operation to prevent the evaporator from icing up.

HAHAHAHAA!!!! Good one kicks4us24!

check freon and expansion valve, the two possible reasons..

    freon, low charge
    xvalve, dirty or restricted...

    Elow Guyz ulet,

    TIA...

Im not sure if may comp box yung 1999 na Hi Ace. Pero from what I experienced, may pressure cut off yung compressor. So pag may konting obstruction either sa Drier or expansion valve, mas mataas yung pressure reading nya... Kaya mag ccut off sya.

Yap, may ECU yung hi-ace jap ver. Mayron nga ata pressure check switch yung AC system.

Elow ulet guyz...Now I'm tempted to disconnect the pressure valve switch.

sir huwag. the pressure valve switch is there to protect your compressor. If you remove that, hindi mag ccut off yung compressor kahit excessive yung pressure. it can lead to compressor failure.

tama yun post ng isang poster, nag high pressure. no need to turn off your A/C hinde naman hataw ang 120kph eh. I assume cruising ang ginagawa mo. not "hataw".

    TIA...ulet

sir, kahit hindi mo pinapatay yung main switch ng A/C, meron pa ibang safety features ang system like yung pressure switchto protect the compressor from unwarranted damage ...

pag nag high pressure, as repeatedly told, ang isa sa possibilities ay yung expansion valve... kaya its better to go to reputable shop muna and have it checked and idamay mo na yung freon baka naman kulang lang... HTH

    TIA...

^cyclic warm and cold air ang cicirculate if expansion valve is restricted......it can be further diagnosed with pressure readings.

the point is: go to a reputable A/c shop have your system pressure tested. Low reading (and sometimes vacuum) on the low side (evap-xvalve side) and higher than normal on the high side (compressor-condenser side) will confirm a restriction on the lines and it's usually the expansion valve. This is one of the many troubleshooting guides in A/C systems. Yours may show some other types of problems.

Re:driving modes, overspeeding the compressor in the long run will hurt it thus the reason the pressure switch (usually connected on the drier-filter) will turn off the clutch when it reaches a certain rpm...All things have their limit.
