overcharging remedy?

mga bossing may nabasa akong thread about battery na kapag lumobo yung battery eh overcharged siya. may gamot ba dito? or ano ang dapat gawin. kasi balak kong magpalit ng battery eh baka maovercharge din xa at mashorten yung batt life. payo naman po. TIA

You can over charge a battery if there is a fault with the alternator or the battery charger. The battery charger should stop charging when the battery is fully charge. So you are pretty safe.....for now!

change your defective IC regulator sa alternator mo.

^^ agree... usually yung ang prob ng alternator kung overcharging.

yup IC regulator, nagagawa yun..... pero pag napansin mo na laging basa ang baterya mo yun ang first sign, pag lomobo, palitan mo na agad, malapit na yun pumutok!

Yup. normally palit na yan.

to find out if your alt is overcharging you should have a volt meter , here's the reading; over 14.8v at 1500rpm and that's without load

Have your alternator fixed as soon as possible. (Again, as others here have said, it is the [ic] regulator which is most probably defective)... Else, your battery will be fried, just like what I had in one of our vehicles....
