I bought a set of Bosch EC9C fanfare horns and I want to DIY the upgrade on my Honda City.

Do I have to buy a relay? What are the steps needed?

No relay needed. Just directly replace existing horn with the Bosch horns. You just might need to wire the ground wire to the body of the car.

    ghosthunter,
hello! Thank you! Stupid question: The EC9C has 2 horns, you connect it in parallel right? then the 2 horns will be grounded to the body of the car?

    thanks again!

Tried without a relay and the results weren't spectacular. Had a relay installed. Also relocated the horn to the driver's side where it can be positioned higher and better protected from floods. The power comes directly from the positive terminal of the battery. Added wire hidden using OEM-style wiring covers.

Yes, ground is direct to body.
