Anybody here who would like to share anything about modified spark plugs? i received this message from my cellfon many times in the past. A certain Engr. Garong claims that it improves power and saves fuel. Ito ba yung binubutasan ng special tool ung tip ng spark plug? I need to be enlightened in this offer.

If he claims that his method works well by improving power and fuel efficiency, how come makers of spark plugs don't market it?

Actually, a hole in the tip of the sparkplug has been done before by some sparkplug makers some years ago. And there is another guy who also offered the (home) modified sparkplugs of similar design.

As for performance gains, you'll only find some gains in if you have an upgraded ignition system, like ignition coil and ignition controller, etc.

Personally I prefer to use TORQUEMASTER sparkplugs. I've used them before when I was drag racing normally aspirated and turbocharged cars.

The main difference is the tip...

What do this hole has to offer anyway. how does it improve power. Could it be that it should be credited to the high performance cables rather than the (modified?) spark plug.
Well, what about torquemaster, do i have to change my cables as well. My car is a corolla gli. could you also give me idea where to buy TORQUEMASTER and maybe share some of your thoughts about this product on a personal experience. Thanks!

used to be that yuo can buy torquemaster from CATS but they dont sell them anymore. Usually at the cars shows (like transportshow, etc) they will have a booth there selling the plugs.

You can use stock plugs with the torquemaster but you will get additional benefits if you use hi-performance cables.

In my previous ride, it did improve my acceleration.

Another benefit, these plugs last a very very very very long time.

Simex trading (Alec Santos), 436-8360. When I bought my first set of torquemasters 5 years ago from them, they were selling it at 650/piece, thus, 2,600/4pcs. I used it for about 3 years, and took it out when my car was sold. Still with me, and still looks about the same as it was when I bought it. If you're interested, PM me, or call/text at 0919-3905493. My car was a 1997 Mazda Familia 1.6 GLX, Mazdaspeed version. I think it can be used for corollas too. Part# is SVFN8BR.

I do believe it works, a freind of mine has tried this for his honda accord and toyota corona and claimed it does improve power and his modified stock spark plugs life longer, re fuel consumption though he has not actually monitored. he claimed that he got this idea from toyota casa...some guys there do recommend this.
I havent tried it yet tho.
