January 16th, 2008 11:15 PM #1My car's alternator broke down 4 days ago., but before that I've observed that the battery started to get drained., the lights deamer, etc. so i had it checked with an alternator repair shop., they said that the culprit is the alternator.. They could repair it but it would still be useless since it is 55A only ., i need an alternator with a higher amperage.
If u know someone/dealer of an alternator, a good one, pls pls inform me.
really need your help..
what brand should i get?
what amperage should i get?
thanks.

you can look for isshin denki brand at handyman. its a remanufactured/refurbished alternator that comes with warranty.
usually the stock amperage is more than enough to handle additional load.
