    if u have a car which has no powerlocks, no power windows using keys, very manual, id like to modify it a litttle bit with power locks (is it pre requisite in putting a car alarm which i am also thinking of putting), what will i put or choose to put, and re keyless entry (what do u think of this, is it ok or is it better if i just put car alarm instead because it also includes keyless remote entry) and what will i put.

    * i have a 3 door hatchback, cvic

    usually how, and how much will it cost.. where to buy and have it installed, and how long..

    either
    a. powerlocks and keyless remote entry combo

    Pwede yung plano mo. Don't know how much power windows cost but we installed one on our old 1990 sentra. Just check sa mga car accesory shops.
    For alarm and power locks, available din yan sa mga car accesory shops. The following links might help. For mr I'll get an alarm with power locks for convience.

    Central locking for a sedan is typically Php1,500. That's a four door set up already. I'm expecting two doors to be less expensive.

    The keyless entry/alarm/anti-theft system will cost around Php1,900. That would be a Cobra, Venom, Police or other Taiwan brand system.

    The price of a keyless entry vs. that of a full anti-theft system (car alarm with ignition kill) is not that far off. I suggest just get an alarm. It has a switch in case you want it to function only as a keyless entry system while still being able to offer vehicle protection when in anti-theft mode.

    perhaps, get a reputable car alarm system. then if you want, you could simply disable the alarm sound but keeping the ignition kill mode.

    On older Cobra systems you can change over from keyless entry to anti-theft just by punching the right combinations on the remote.

    On the newer model we got, this is no longer possible. You have to physically flip the switch hidden under the dash with the key in the 'ON' position.

    power windows for a hatch is around 3k to 4k. you'll need to change your sidings as well if you're getting JDM (japanese) power windows.

    also, you'll need to buy actuators if you want to put power locks since mano-mano ang hatch locks. consider that as well if you're getting a keyless entry system.

    Meron pero matagal na kong hindi nakakakita. Malamang mas mahal pa sa alarm+powerlocks combo considering how much the price of security systems have dropped in the past few years.

    Medyo pointless na ang remote entry with no anti theft aka kung ganun. hehehe.
