Park light still On kahit Off na

Hi mga experts

I have this problem. sometimes yung park light ko still naka On even when i turned it off.

So what i did is to turn On and off the switch, i suspect baka sa switch. my vehicle is a 2001 crosswind. pero ganun pa rin ayaw mag turn off. Napansin ko mas mahina lang ng kaunti ang ilaw sa dashboard.

What i did next is to unlock and then lock using my car alarm, yun nawala sya. nag umpisa lang naman ito nung pinalitan ko battery ng remote ng alarm. kaya naisip ko may kinalaman sa alarm system

what do you think? anybody may experience na ganun.

na check mo na ba yung break switch pad? sometimes kasi nag we-wear-out o nasisira ito.. located ito sa ilalim ng break pedal mo. HTH.

Check the condition of your brake pads and shoes, it serves as a warning that your pads and shoes are due for a replacement.

Let me get this straight... the park lights you are referring to are the clearance lights and tail lights, correct? If so, it could be a stuck relay.

Check the parklight relay on your car (usually in the engine compartment fuse/relay box) and the alarm module. Whenever the parklights are stucked on again, tap on these two relays and see which would respond by turning off the lights. The one that responds is the stuck/defective one.

is your alarm system factory installed or is it aftermarket?
sounds like the system is stuck on acknowledge mode. just like when you activate the alarm, two chirps should happen to inform you the system acknowledged your request to arm the alarm system. check the door pin switches (courtesy light door switches) for grounding. do the obvious and simplest first. the door switches are the ones always mechanically altered in the system. you can also try to reset the alarm by unplugging the fuse to the alarm module and reset using your remote control. if the alarm system is oem or factory installed, try arming the alarm both mechanically by locking the driver's door and by using the rc. try each way separate and dearm the alarm by turning the right side/passenger side orthe starboard side however yo may call it by using the key. it usually resets and clears signs of alarm tampering if you inadvertently opened the door as if you were trying to steal the car. toyota alarms are usually dearmed, reset and prepared for the next alarm rearming.

i think its not oem, i bought the vehicle 2nd hand.

anyway i will try next time na nagloko uli, now kasi parang ok na naman.
