    Hi Guys,

I'm planning to install a grounding kit for my 2000 Toyota Corolla Altis (lovelife) baby. I've asked shops in Banawe regarding the price and the average is Php 800 (I'm not sure what kind of grounding kit)... However, I went to a performance shop in Quezon Ave yesterday and asked regarding the grounding kit. They're giving me the HKS gounding kit for 3.5k plus 1.4k for installation... is this price just fair???

    thanks guys!!!

Fake po yung P800 na HKS. Nasa P3k to P3.5k yung original. Mas makapal po yung wire ng orig.... sobrang nipis nung fake tapos madaling masira yung mga contact points.

    HTH!

parang alam ko kung saang shop yan a, hehe. IMO may iba pang shop na mas mura benta ng HKS Circle Earth (Purple) . Class A lang yung mga tig-P800 na GK...

Yan din naka-line up ko para sa oto ko e...

Do you have a sound system on your car ? If you don't, then I see no purpose in wasting .. eh .. spending roughly P5k for grounding kits. Coz aside from porma, it doesn't serve any purpose on a stock car with a stock ICE.

Moreover, grounding kits do not boost up a car's horsepower nor torque rating. If ever it does, it will just be VERY VERY minimal. Such as ... 0.1 ?

Actually, IMO you can also use this even if you don't have sound set ups especially if your car has a strong modified engine. A car with very good earthing, can have better idle, optimum fuel injection flow, better response, head lights will emit light more efficiently. Basically it gives your car a better electricity flow than oem.

Hp gains are useless, around 1 or 2 only, and they're made not for hp gains actually. But it is not something that is needed especially on small stock engines, and those w/o sound set ups. That's why you can see these earthing kits most of the time on strong engines. ;)

I just don't know if that 3,500 your saying is really a legit HKS though. I know it is more expensive than that.

If the car is old, it might gain 1 or 2 hp.

After installing the kit, dynotesting it and experimenting for an hour or so on the proper grounding points... Which would cost you another 5k in dyno time.
