pano kung nadiskarga yung battery ng A/T vehicle and there isn't a jumper cable at hand or anywhere convenient? ano pwedeng gawin to start the stricken car, let's say, when there is another A/T car on hand?

Yan talaga hirap sa A/T. Pero since sinabi mo na may isa pang kotse nearby, e di ilipat mo na lang yung batt niya sa iyo. Start the discharged A/T, wait a few minutes, then without stopping the engine, ibalik mo yung discharged batt. You have to be very quick kasi kung hindi, mamamatay lang yan uli. When you're finished, let it run for a few minutes para makargahan yung discharged batt.
This will work because during the brief period na walang nakakabit na baterya, the alternator will be the one supplying juice to your ignition system. Kung sobrang diskargado na yung baterya mo, this may not work at all.
I don't know if there are downsides to this procedure. I've done it before, so I know it works. Sa mga experts dyan, feel free to confirm or refute.![]()
I agree with Yoda.
Isalpak mo yung matinong battery nung isang kotse sa kotse mo.
Start your car, let it idle for a few seconds.
remove the borrowed battery from your car then ibalik mo yung diskargadong battery sa kotse mo.
Rev your car for a few minutes. Don't floor the pedal though, yung constant rev lang.
don't turn on the A/C or your sound system though kapag ibinalik mo yung diskargadong battery.
I've done this to my car, twice, oks naman, wala naman naging problema.
you dont need to do the transfer of battery really fast after starting the car. A diesel car can run without any battery after it has fired up. (did that to our gemini before)
Usually.. it is the alternator that runs your electricals after the engine has started, unless may naka-direct tap ka na accessories sa batt mo. Otherwise, the batt is no longer in used and is being charged by your alternator.
With an gas AT car, i usually experience the engine dying down a few minutes after you put back the dead battery... you have to keep the car revving when you come to a stop.
removal of battery while engine is running may produce strong electrical surge from the alternator that could damage sensitive electronics on modern cars (esp. those with ecu's)
it's probably better to tow the car to the nearest battery shop or any auto shop that sells jumper cables
if you are going to have it towed to a shop with jumper cables for sale... it might be more practical to tow it to a shop that sells new car batteries and replace the dead battery.![]()
since you have the other car why not borrow the car and go to the nearest battery store and buy one you save alot of money from towing and giving tips he... he... he... he...
Instead of using the other car to buy a new battery, why not save on fuel by calling the numbers of our leading battery outlets. They do deliver where the vehicle is stalled anywhere in Metro Manila. Free change of battery and also accepts trade in of old batteries.

...pero this one takes the cake :bald:
well, pwede naman kasing hatinggabi mangyari yung madiskargahan ng baterya diba? :D
Motolite Express delivery -8431111
(within metro manila)
dunno if they still delivery outside manila
mura lang jumper cables, 200 ata yun / set
pwede naman itulak(push start) ang matic na sasakyan, mahabang tulakan nga lang.... have tried it with a ford telstar, took us 200m. to start it, but if the battery is really dead i think it wont do the trick, battery swap talaga ang kailangan dyan, like what i did at our vx200 revo, na drain yung batts dahil iniwan ni ermats na nakabukas yung park lights with halogen on the sides... palit battery - pagka start balik yung drain- huwag mo lang isasayad yung positive terminal sa body....
ungas,
24 hours ba yan?
eh pano naman kung wala akong dalang pera?
pwede bang charge muna sayo..saka ko na lang bayaran?
friends naman tayo eh diba?
Delivery service is only available from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday. 7am to 5pm on weekends.
You might need to exercise a little of what's left in your common sense, why order when you first know that you don't have enough cash? But don't be despair, there's always your daddy who you can make a call to and pay for the extra.
With your option, that could be settled also provided I take the battery home with me. Then hand it to you if you have paid the remaining balance. :D
how do you push it? do you put it in neutral, push then slam it in drive? o nakadrive na?Originally posted by rodcarolino

kasi ang alam ko e you could do a rolling start, by towing the vehicle and reaching a certain speed kakagat na yung engine dun sa transmission at mabubuhay na... nandun yung procedure sa manual nung kotse namin.. just didnt pay attention to it kasi we just buy battery kung wala na talaga o jumpstart it dahil may jumper cables kami.
We do it via tow start, eh. Very dangerous ito (sabi ng manual). hehehe. The vehicles could slam into each other.
Pati yung battery palit technique ginawa na namin dati. Pero wala namang ECU at electronic ek ek ang mga sasakyan namin kaya ok lang.

so bawal yung "battery palit technique" sa modern, electronically-controlled vehicles?
