December 27th, 2013 09:45 AM #17Insert a VOM across stereo power supply wire, simulate operation and see if voltage fluctuates. If it did fluctuate, start isolating the power supply. If not, check the internals for loose terminals. Chances are if you are using detachable front-type, terminals are not making good contact. Poor grounding seems a fairly common problem with intermittent circuits too.
